We have a cirrus growing on our chain link fence (4yrs) lately it appers that there spots growing or maybe decaying parts of the plants. What to do????????????

I'm not sure what a "cirrus" plant is. The nearest I can think of is Cereus but that's a cactus so doesn't seem like something that would grow on a fence. Maybe someone else knows what it is, but either way it would help us if you could post a picture of the plant and the spots.

Edited to add - or could it be Cissus?
