Outstanding in zone 4b!
Blooms opened early and stood up all day to the high altitude sun. Stood out with 50" scapes in a group of tall Davissons, Goldners, and other Gossard Daylilies. Grown in sandy high drainage soil, fed once toward the beginning of the season. The scapes were tough, we get sudden gusts of thirty to forty miles per hour winds with only very low protection, and we had no scape collapse.
If I were a touch more compulsive I would grow ten or fifteen clumps of this beautiful red.
