I have many phorniums, all of which are very large and causing problems in the garden, over shadowing other plants and dangling over paths. I really want to trim them back from the base. My question is what's the best tool for the job. .? Thanks

|A very sharp knife or hand scythe; cut close to the base of the Phormium plants. It is important that the tool be very sharp.
