Here temp will get 113 deg F in summer, now in spring its 82 deg F,
I have a sandy soil with less humus contain.

I bought some seeds from ebay, but it looks like more grass cutting less seeds(similar but much smaller than rice seeds)

I sow them 1/4 th inch deep into soil in paper pot with mustard seeds to raise the fertility of soil.

rajesh - I started some East Indian lemon grass (C. flexuosus) from seed several years back. The seeds need light to germinate. Sow seeds on top of your soil mix and regularly spray them with water to keep them moist. My seeds sprouted in 4 days but they can take 10 - 14 days to sprout.

I've also started plants from lemon grass that I bought at the store. As long as the stalk still has some remnants of root at the base of the stalk, you can root it in soil, keeping it moist until new roots sprout.
