Thanks for sharing this great idea for recycling those plastic drink bottles; good step by step instructions and illustrations too! Thumbs up The plastic drink bottles make perfect little pots for seedlings or small plants. I really like that they are clear so you can keep an eye on the root system too.

Thanks Lin and I've had some Mother of Millions babies and a few other plants in some of these for months and not a bit of algae has formed on the inside of the plastic. I'll upload a couple of photos tomorrow. I've even got a small orchid in one.

I've seen some orchids sold in small, clear plastic containers with lots of holes in the bottom and along the sides near the bottom ... perfect for being able to keep an eye on the roots.

I don't use many plastic bottles but I do eat yogurt. This is a great reminder that there are good ways to reuse this stuff. I mean I reuse the 2" and 4" plastic pots I buy until they crack. If I saved drink containers and yogurt cups I would probably never need to buy another one!
