I intend to make this the parent plant for Dianthus:

Dianthus

The consequence to this is that the data fields in that entry will be copied down to all plants in that genus. Are there are any of them that should be removed beforehand? I'm thinking the plant height is probably the only data point there that isn't common to all pinks.

They aren't all fragrant.
Flower time varies greatly among the wild species. I don't think there are any boxes in that field that can be checked without being wrong for at least a few entries.
The information currently in the Propogation: Seeds: field is probably too specific. Many species will have different requirements than what is listed.
At least some of the annual or biennial species can't be propagated by division or cuttings.
