Please add the genus Brassolaeliocattleya to the plant database.

From the American Orchid Society's "Orchidist's Glossary":

Brassolaeliocattleya (brass-oh-LEE-lee-oh-KAT-lee-ah; brass-oh-LYE-lee-oh-KAT-lee-ah) A hybrid genus derived from Brassavola, Laelia and Cattleya created in 1897.

I think all of them have been reclassified as other genera. @Australis would know more about this.

Hi Carol,

Brassolaeliocattleya (Blc) is permitted as a genus name in the database, but as yet I have not come across a single Blc grex that has not been reclassified to one of the following:

- Brassocatanthe
- Brassocattleya
- Cattleya
- Rhyncattleanthe
- Rhynchobrassoleya
- Rhyncholaeliocattleya

Was there a particular plant you had in mind?

This is the one whose image I would like to upload; is it Rhyncholaeliocattleya? Perhaps Rhyncholaeliocattleya Meditation King's Ransom? Is there an entry for it by another name?

Hi Carol, you're correct - it is Rhyncholaeliocattleya Meditation 'King's Ransom'. I've added the entry and your photo here:
