I have a fiddle leaf fig that I received to put in my business. It immediately started losing leaves. I moved it around to various locations and the newer leaves at the top started to wither and fall off. I know that it was receiving too much water from various people in my busines, so I took it home, trimmed off the dying branch tips, put it by a shaded window next to a white wall for light reflection, and backed off the watering. I waited for the soil to dry out then began watering with 1cup per week. The soil stays damp further down but is not overly wet, but still it looks as if the tree continues to decline. No leaves, but not mushy or overly dry stems. Any advice on how to proceed with this would be greatly appreciated.
