So I have a few cacti in my office and a little concerned about a couple of them that live on my desk and seem to be changing colour and appearance. Anyone know if this normal or if I need to act quickly to save them? Please help.

Looks like normal corking to me. As they grow, a lot of cacti change color at the base like that. The older flesh becomes hard and woody and helps to support the plant as it grows. Unless it's soft or mushy, I wouldn't worry.
