Has anyone had experience with these? Rarepalmseeds.com has seeds and from reading I've been doing it sounds like they might be good here in our subtropical desert. I'm wondering how hard they are to start from seed and when a crop might be expected. Tony and I figure that it will be is grandchildren (whom I consider my great-grandchildren) who will be able to profit from harvests here but I'm looking for general ideas. I've got a couple other trees in mind. I'll post about them later. And separately.

thanks, katie

I know nothing about them from experience, but per Wikipedia, it says trees take "over a year to mature" - which I would take to mean flowering and fruiting in just 1-2 years.
