I have a very strong Anthurium plant that gets plenty of light and its in good health. The problem is that there are two very large pink flowers that have been ready to open, but they just stay closed. I have tried to gently unfold them but to no avail. Can anyone come up with an answer as to why they won't open.

How long have you been watching these two flowers? Are they still fresh? Or drying up? Maybe they aren't quite ready to open yet.

Thanks for answering Daisy, the flowers are all over a month old and the one is now dying off. There are a few new healthy leaves, so the plant is fine. Each flower is approx 15cms long and the pink colour is perfect. It must be as confused as I am. Maureen.
