I planted a Purple Tab 14 years ago when my new town home was built. It has only flowered once two years ago, with just a handful of blooms. I'm in an HOA and they definitely over water, which I read that they don't like. But in the last year, the tree (now about 18' tall) lost a bunch of leaves, with a lot of bare branches. Some are brittle, dead. Some still have green bark underneath. Any ideas to the cause?

I've started spraying them with a mix of Miracle Grow, FESO4, Citrus nutritional liquid and it seems to be responding, with some new growth popping out.

Thanks for any advice.

Welcome! EmilJMiller

We have a lot of Tabebuias in this area of the country (Southwest Florida) and I know from my own experience that some are spectacular bloomers and some are just not. My own did underperform for years and I finally had to cut it down.
