Dear Green Thumbs

It's been 5 months since purchase of my loved yet high maintenance FLF and only 2 weeks since return from a one month holiday, when it seems things started going downhill.

I live in an apartment in Singapore where the average humidity is 75% and average temp is 85F.

What started out as a fairly healthy plant growing new leaves and a new branch (encouraged by me) is now a shadow of its former self.

On return from my recent holiday, I saw that the leaves had all drooped and lost vitality. So I watered the plant generously, and being mindful of oversoaking the soil which did not seem to drain very well, I used a thin bamboo stick to poke holes in the soil. I fear I may have poked too agressively and destroyed the root system as the tree, far from improving, declined rapidly.

Here is one before pic of its glory days and the remaining pics show its current, hopefully salvageable, state.

Any help would be very warmly appreciated.

My guess is that you did not water it when you were gone.
