What's not supposed to be hardy where you are that survived over winter? Did you do anything to "cheat" your zone, or did it just happen?

These are serendipitous, I wasn't expecting or trying to manipulate these results.

rhizomatous Begonia 'Beefsteak'

flaming Katy (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana)

queen's tears (Billbergia nutans)

snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata)

Swedish ivy / creeping Charlie (Plectranthus verticillatus)

I also saw some tiny Chinese evergreen (Aglaonema commutatum, specifically in this case) leaves poking up somewhere but when I went to take pics later, couldn't find them again.

After a 2nd mild winter in a row, I have a solid carpet of mother of millions/thousands babies wherever there were mama plants last year (Kalanchoe x houghtonii, specifically.)

Confederate rose with foliage already, and all the way to the tips, no die-back this winter, yet anyway. (Hibiscus mutabilis.)
