They are nice and healthy!
We get that cabbage moth--how do you prevent it? or perhaps it is just in North gardens?

These are starter plants. When I plant them in the garden I'll keep them dusted with dispel.

Ah---good plan.
This year I am going to try Beira Kale/Cabbage......sometimes called Portugese Kale or Cabbage. It has thicker leaves than Kale , but the leaves are looser than cabbage.

Just know that diapel kills worms. It's good on any cole crop. The moths that you mentioned are probably laying worm larvae, such as the cabbage looper.

Yes, and they eat holes in the cabbage leaves.
Must see if that is available here.

Sidney, those are very nice-looking cabbage seedlings Thumbs up

Caroline, I wouldn't think you'd have any trouble finding some sort of Bt -- I like the liquid form because you really need to get it on the top and bottom surfaces of the leaves and it seems easier with the spray (for me, anyway). You can also use something like Reemay (floating row cover) or a fine mesh covering to keep the cabbage butterflies away from the plants; if they can't get to the plants to lay eggs, no worms. Next to slugs the cabbage worms are my worst garden problem. Sticking tongue out

I use the Reemay or floating row cover. On when transplanted and stays on until harvest. I never get any moths. Same for all brassica.
