Hello. I live in the Amazon jungle and recently went on holiday to Mexico where i bought some "Marigold Seeds" they look like ordinary seeds but now that they have grown some have reached 3 metres high.
They are still very beautiful and attract lots of Hummingbirds and Butterflies.
Have i done something wrong ?
i grew Marigolds in the UK and they were only 15 inches high at best.
best regards

From Mexico it could be Tagetes lemmonii or T. palmeri; both are rather tall.

Edited to add:
You may have received seeds that were mislabeled; they might be sunflowers.

Wild Marigold (Tagetes minuta) can grow to 8 feet or higher. http://tropical.theferns.info/...

The record was 10 feet, 1 inch: http://www.giantgardening.com/...
