Plant ID forum: Plant/Grass Identity

Can anyone tell me what kind of plant/grass this is? It is probably 12 feet tall. It grows very green and thick Spring - Fall. Stalks appear to be fairly thick. It is in the west Texas area. Thanks.

How tall is the grass? 2ft? 3ft?
I can't tell from the photo, is the leaf/blade structure rounded or braided/twisted? It appears that it's not a "bunched" or clumped grower--is that correct?

I'd guess Giant Reed (Arundo donax) , but can't see enough detail in the pictures to be sure. BTW, it's easily capable of reaching 12 feet, and then some, in height.

Yes, it's at least 12 ft. The Arundo donax is what I was leaning towards when I searched online.
