I have these seeds which were sent to me as a star fruit seed. I do not believe that is what they are. I have seen many star fruit seeds and have never seen one like this. Is this a different type or is it something else. These are about the size of a sesame seed. thank you for your help

Me too. For very tiny cantaloupe. Smiling

I think they are too small and shaped a little wrong for Star Fruit. Grow some and see what you get.

Please, where did the seeds come from? Country? State? Did you receive them from a trusted source?

Hi tsbuskegmailcom and welcome to NGA!

They look like Pocket Melon seeds.

Wild Muskmelon (Cucumis melo var. dudaim)
"The Universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice. It speaks in the language of hope; It speaks in the language of trust; It speaks in the language of strength, and the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. But always, it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors, speaking through us, And the voice of our inheritors, waiting to be born. It is the small, still voice that says: We are one. No matter the blood; No matter the skin; No matter the world; No matter the star; We are one. No matter the pain; No matter the darkness; No matter the loss; No matter the fear; We are one. Here, gathered together in common cause. we agree to recognize this singular truth, and this singular rule: That we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and ennobles us, and each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the Universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one."

You're welcome! If you are wanting the melons you'll need to plant at least 6 seeds since you will need a male plant and a female plant. There tends to be way more female plants than males .. with six seed you probably will get at least 1 male.

I was kidding about miniature cantaloupe. Those seeds are way too small to be any melon I know of. That's a penny in the first photo making those seeds about 3/16 of an inch long. More like sesame seeds.
