Hi pinkerbellis, Welcome!

Your plant looks like Ginkgo to me also; possibly Maidenhair Tree (Ginkgo biloba)
We have lots of photos of Ginkgo in the database for comparison:

Ficus triangularis

https://www.google.com/search?...

Edited to add that I think the correct name is Ficus natalensis subsp. leprieurii. I guess F. triangularis was the old name, its listed as a synonym. Common name is Natal Fig.

Natal Fig (Ficus natalensis subsp. leprieurii)

Thanks Carter, at first I thought Gingko but the leaves looked so different, glad you came up with that interesting Ficus!

Thanks! I love ficus species - I have a variegated form of this one, Ficus natalensis subsp. leprieurii 'Malay Gold':

I liked the looks of this variegated Ficus so much that I had to order a little one! Green Grin!

You will love it - just be forewarned: this variegated variety can be finicky! I've had it before and it keeled over for seemingly no reason. A friend of mine who owns Zone 9 Tropicals says he's killed it a number of times. I don't know what I'm doing different with my current ones, though, but they seem to be happy since I got them last summer.

Carter, thanks for the warning, I assumed it would be easy like other Ficus. The one I ordered will be a small, 4" pot and I'll try my best to keep it alive! Smiling I love the variegated foliage.

How cool that your friend owns Zone 9 Tropicals! I've browsed their website many times and was going to order at one time but shipping costs were quite a bit more than I wanted to spend at the time. They sure do seem to carry a great assortment of different and beautiful plants!
