My favorites are Echinopsis. They bloom young and always have huge vibrantly colored flowers. You may do better with some succulents that like bright but indirect light. But a word of caution: its hard to maintain cactus and succulents indoors without some supplemental light, even in a picture window.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

|I find cacti to bloom likes lots of light especially when Spring weather is here, their wake up time. What is the orientation of light in your picture window?|
