I replanted our cat palm before I found out that you were supposed to wait till the roots were coming out and I also planted it in a pot that has no holes will it die?

I'm not sure what a 'cat palm' is but unless its a bog plant, the pot with no holes will not make for a happy home.

Chamaedorea cataractarum (aka Cat Palm) in its native range is often found growing in areas covered by standing or flowing water. In a pot without drainage I would worry more about salt build ups in the pot that in time will kill the palm.
