When I give a plant to family or friends, I like to include information from the plant database for the particular plant. In the past (maybe 4 or 5 years ago) I was able to print pages that came out perfect with all the information and photos, etc. but now for some reason I'm getting a bunch of letters and numbers in the text when I print the pages. I've tried two of our three printers and it looks the same on both. Is it the printers or perhaps some setting on my laptop that causes this?

The pages I've been trying to print are for Nun's Cap Orchid (Phaius tankervilleae) to go with a plant that I've divided and have for my sister. She's not into computers so won't go to online websites and it would be nice to be able to print the info for her.

An example of what I get when I print pages from the database:

>Adding Actions:
>Upload a photo (/plants/propose/ajax_photo/87210)
>Post a comment (/plants/add_comment
>Add an event report (/plants/propose/event_report/87210/)
From our plant lists:
> 4 members have this plant.
(/lists/plant/87210/)

The print out of the photo gallery has writing beneath each photo that appears like this:

(/plants/photo/70982/)

Hi Lin,

I don't think it's your printer or browser settings - I think it's the way the page is designed.

@dave - is there a set of print CSS rules that are causing the page to display this way when trying to print it?
Plant Authorities: Catalogue of Life (Species) --- International Cultivar Registration Authorities (Cultivars) --- RHS Orchid Register --- RHS Lilium Register
My Notes: Orchid Genera HTML PDF Excel --- Lilium Traits HTML PDF --- Lilium Species Crosses HTML PDF Excel --- Lilium Species Diagram

Yes, I see what causes that, and I have updated our CSS to prevent it. Printing shouldn't show that extra stuff anymore. Thumbs up
