I just got some Kale seeds in the mail. I will have to start some right away.

I do have tomato and pepper seedlings I have started but ordered some Fortex bean seeds and got some green bell pepper seeds for free. So I just started a 6 cellpack with my free seeds.

Very late for starting peppers here but nothing to loose!!

Your peppers can come inside in the fall! My Dad used to keep peppers through the winter & replant in the spring.....

No peppers inside for me. No way to overwinter plants without the extra lights and I sure wouldn't keep plant lights on all winter.

Rita...my Dad just put the plant in front of a window in the basement.....he actually kept one plant over 2 winters....wanted to have the newspaper take a photo of it! I will say he had a green thumb....he had a gardenia for about 20 years....after he passed, my Mom gave it to me....killed it immediately.....I felt awful....

He did great. My basement is far too dark and dingy for plants!!

Snow cover is quickly going away now. Temps in the mid 60's today, low to mid-70's tomorrow and almost 80 on Tuesday. That's good...I want to get my potatoes going. Got a bunch of seed taters ready to go in but have not been able to start working the ground just yet.

I never till. Simply pile more compost on top. Works out great.

I wish I had more compost to do that! I have a pile all the way at the bottom of my steep hill....no way to get it uphill without killing myself! Also there are snakes in there, because there are mice in there!
