I only have 5 more tomato plants to plant out so I should be able to finish up tomorrow.

Then on to planning out the garden space for the pepper plants which I also started myself from seeds.

Also weed and hoe and fix up the sideyard bed which I have decided will be summer squashes. Started my own plants of them also.

Newyorkrita said:I planted my cucumber seeds today and also tried basil from seed. We will see what comes up on the basil. As to the cucumbers I always start my own from seed. I should have plenty of plants hopefully!!

Okay. Back to planting out tomato plants. Feels like I will never be finished.

Many of my cucumber seeds which where planted April 28th are up. In fact most are so I took the cellpacks of cucumbers outside today to get some good light.

They will be going inside later for the night.

I planted on those six pack cellpacks. I put 3 or 4 seeds in each compartment but of course not every one came up. But most did and I have a lot of cucumber seedlings.

2 cellpacks of Green Fingers
2 cellpacks of Beta Alpha
1 Double Yield
1 Ancient Chinese
1 Shinto Kiwa Long

You have the most interesting varieties! I know you'll share photos when they are ready to harvest....I only plant picklers, but I plant 5 varieties, because not all do well in whatever weather we happen to get that particular year........

I like to have the slicing cucumbers but don't mind some smaller types. I like a variety.

Took all my seedlings outside this morning. Yesterday was so horrible here with wind and rain that I left my seedlings indoors for the day.

But I did take a walk around and look at my tomato seedlings which are all planted out and looking good!!

Yes, peas don't mind while tomatoes would hate it.

Went to my favorite in town Nursery. Bought a bag of tomato and veggie fertilizer, a bag of grass seed and bush bean seeds. Was hoping to plant my bush beans this week but now its so cold!!

Also bought for bell pepper plants. "Baron". Label claims they are early and productive. Green then turn to red. Hope they turn out to be good ones.

The pepper selection was really poor. Maybe they will get in more plants next week.

Temps will go to 33-35 tonight....cannot even think about planting anything, just hoping I don't lose my hydrangea flowers and that my son's farm will have peaches this year!

My home grown pepper plants are all planted out and as soon as this rain stops I will plant out the peppers I bought yesterday. Yup yet more peppers!! Found a local nursery that had just what I wanted. Or at least near enough.

I bought a six cellpack of Eggplants and two 6 cellpacks of peppers. I should have enough peppers this summer to feed an army. Whistling

I got my 6 eggplants planted out today and that is all I will be putting in. Just didn't find any much exciting varieties at the nurseries this year. Last year had 30 eggplants and it was way too many. I didn't know what to do with them all.

My peppers are now all planted also. I planted the last of them today. So last year had 5 pepper plants and this year I went crazy. I have over 50 pepper plants. Yes, over 50. Oh well, lots of peppers going to be eaten this summer.

My goodness....you are a busy bee, Rita! On Friday, WFF will be having their Tomatomania....I will get most of my toms there & they also sell peppers....I'll check out the varieties, see if I can find some interesting ones to plant....no eggplants....they just don't do well for me unless we have a super hot summer......

Its really nice to go pick out the veggie plants and get favorite varieties.

Now I will be moving on to planting my cucumber and melon seedlings. I started them from seeds myself.
