Snowing. So much for a trace of snow. I already have that much sticking to the vegetation.

It seems cold temps are often less damaging to growth when accompanied by snow or humidity. Crossing Fingers! Hoping that's the case for you Leslie Group hug

I think today is fine, but we have several nights now that will be below freezing.

And what the world is up with the Burseen's??? I have three with bloom stalks already. Izitme Orizitu is ready to go too now. I will need to build a cover for it.

Sweet old white one Gabe.. do the falls open up so they're not so narrow, or does it stay slim looking like the picture?

The falls opened narrow and slim the whole opening process.

And Les, it had 3 falls, 3 Standards, and 3 style crest I guess. Just weirdly placed or just right for it's species Confused

Crying Crying Crying Crying Crying

I have really severe frost damage this morning. Large fan leaves are frozen. Whole fans are frozen. Frozen solid. Whole plants. Do I treat this like it is just going into winter, and cut down the fans? Any ideas? I will have a severe lack of bloom I think. And I have several almost ready to bloom that I covered. I just didn't expect frozen leaves today. It is literally all the water in the leaves froze solid. I am afraid I may lose some iris.

All my pots are going inside tonight.

I would wait to see what happens to them after the temps rise. Iris have a strong ability to survive cold. They may not bloom, but cold by itself should kill them, even if they had started to grow. The leave may just come back to life after a thaw, or they may get brown on the edges.

Did you mean the cold by itself will kill them or will NOT kill them? We are expected to have down to 19 degrees tomorrow night.

Oh noes, Leslie! Crying

You are not afraid that taking plants inside after a freeze will kill them (heat shock)? Or by 'inside' do you not mean inside the house??
