I'm not sure but it reminds me of Banana-leaf Ficus (Ficus maclellandii 'Alii')

Lin is spot on with the ID - that is what it is. As for care, it needs bright light, good humidity and consistent moisture (without being wet) to really thrive, but of those, it can be more tolerant of lower humidity and being allowed to dry out some between waterings.

If it is a new plant and started dropping leaves after bringing it into your home, don't be too concerned - these guys will do that if they've had a big change in environmental conditions. It should recover, just be careful to not overwater at this time; since it has fewer leaves, it will have lower water intake.

This is an Alii fig. I had one of these and it was a wonderful plant it looks so graceful anywhere you put it.
