Hi everyone!

So I made a mistake. I said there was a walnut tree in my backyard, but when I looked at the leaves on the ground and the pods on the trees, they did not match that of a walnut. The leaves are large, about the size of my hand, and they have multiple points on the edges of one leaf, (Think of the Canadian Flag, that is close to what it looks like.) As for the pods, they are spherical, about an inch in diameter, and they have a rough light brown surface.

I honestly do not know what it is.

Any ideas based on my description and the pictures? I know it is not a walnut.

Seriously, I need a book on tree Identification! (Joke there

I think your beautiful tree is a Sycamore.

I would agree with that. I hope you aren't allergic. We had a beautiful one in CA but I couldn't breath when I got near to it.
