I found an orphaned plant on the sidewalk and picked it up, thinking I would take it home. Then I noticed the dark spots on the underside of its leaves and wondered if it was suffering from a pest of some kind. If it is, I didn't want to take it home and spread it to my other plants. Can you give me any insight? Thank you!

It looks like its had a hard life there on the sidewalk. It might just need a bath and a warm place to live. It doesn't look buggy to me but covered in dirt and suffering some chemical or sunburn damage.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

Ok I'll give it a home then. Thank you!
