I loved this episode! I've been looking forward to the next podcast since the last one! (And I had to wait an extra couple of days thanks to an inconvenient power outage Wed-Fri Hilarious! .) I especially loved the houseplant portion...I can completely relate because we have to treat our water with water softener and most of our plants get the brown tips. I've been switching to store-bought water for my more sensitive plants, but it's good to know that part of the problem is the light watering...I didn't know that deeper watering could flush out some of the salt buildup, too!

As always, I love your "folksy" talk show manner of podcast. (I'm pretty sure "folksy" was simply meant as "informal", but who knows?) I cracked up when you two talked about the whole episode being a blooper reel--that's part of what I love about the podcasts.

Trish... don't worry about the radish seed thing, we know you've got this planting thing down. Its just what my mom always called a "brain fart" ...our brains get gassy, too, apparently. Rolling my eyes. Hilarious! And I think you were completely redeemed by the awesome pumpkin slow cooker tip. I'm thinking that might also work with acorn squash, now that you say that!
