The label on this succulent says "Burro's Tail Sedum", but I don't think this is that I have. My guess is its Sedum nussbaumerianum. Can someone help me identify this succulent?

@tarev

I think tarev can help us with this one Ken.
Your plants looks much like one I have, but I lost the tag for it. I want to say it is one of the graptopetalum.
Let's see what tarev thinks.

Hi Lynn and Ken,

I replied to Ken, I was thinking some type of Graptoveria, but I maybe wrong, so I asked Ken to ask as well at the C&S forum, there are others there with more extensive collections.

I did post this (yesterday) on the C & S forum, Tarev. I reposted, asking about that other succulent that you pointed out was growing alongside the one I wanted an ID on. Maybe I'll get an ID on that variety as well.

The plant shown in most photos with the long hanging stem looks more like a graptopetalum to me...

Thanks, Bev. The Graptopetalum/Graptosedum seems to be the leading candidate for what I have. I assume those two names are for the same plant. Confused

Well, actually Graptopetalum is a genus in the family Crassulaceae and I think Graptosedum is a cross between Graptopetalum and Sedum. Way different but confusing when things get crossed and plants end up more like one parent line than the other. I think you should look up Graptopetalum and see which of the cultivars might match your plant.
I'm not certain of all as I don't have plant in front of me and can't see characteristics that might be more determining.

Got it. I don't really "grow" this succulent (its not part of the tropical plants listed that I sell), but was given to me. I just have a lot of plants of it. They grow like weeds for me, and I guess they start/grow the same for everyone else. I gift the plants when I ship a reasonably large order of orchids.

Yes, for that one, each leaf is a potential new plant to grow, and quite easy to propagate.

Tarev is right and if you do Ken, do the propagation thing, give the plants more sun as the leaves are much too far apart and the beautiful rosette at the end loses its shape. Those are the one of my favorite plants when I started succulents but too cold outside for it here at the new place.
Also, what's funny that I'm posting to you Ken, is that I'm gappling with my sphagnum moss for a project today and it reminds me of you because of the great advice you gave me years ago about long fibered moss. Smiling

All those plants are in one of my greenhouses, on the top shelf, and they get lots of really bright light. Because my greenhouses are wrapped with solar blanket material, the sun is diffused. Plus that natural light is augmented for 6-8 hrs. with intense, T5HO lighting. I use no shading over the greenhouse during the fall and winter.

I am still giving advice, Bev, and some of it is even good as well as accurate. Probably not all of it though. Whistling

Joining convo late... My vote is graptoveria or graptosedum, but probably not graptopetulum (at least not any that I've seen) Hope you get answers for the other plants
Cheers I tip my hat to you.

Hello, Greg. Where have you been? Thanks for that info. I think it is probably the graptosedum. Everything I have seen seems to fit my plants.
