This is some kind of salvia. I have it in my front yard and it was sold to us as "Texas Sage." Some of the bushes have a brighter green leaf, but those aren't fragrant. The others have this silver gray leaf, and those are. I think they are really 2 kinds of sages, but they were all sold to us as "Texas Sage."

I don't believe this is the plant most commonly called Texas Sage, Leucophyllum frutescens. I don't know of another one with that common name (but that's the danger of using common names - multiple unlrelated plants can have the same common name, and the same plant can have multiple common names - and they can vary widely by region!).

That said, it may be a variety of salvia, but I'm not sure.

It reminds me a lot of this plant that I used to have.

But I don't recall if the foliage was fragrant.
