We have lots of mesquite trees on our place so I got a wood chipper and was wondering if I can mix the mesquite wood chips in with the soil of the flower beds. We just bought the place and I'm building new raised flower beds. Thanks in advance.

We have chipped mesquite trees, and left the chips on the soil. Over the years they broke down and the ground there grows things well, so it's probably safe for you to use them.

My Hubby chips all our extra mesquite and uses it in his smoker. Smiling
