The photo for this Hemerocallis doesn't match the description. I posted a comment to that effect but I'm not sure if that's the right procedure?

The photo in question is this one:

and it's not a daylily. It looks like a Daffodil, and probably belongs to one of these cultivars: https://garden.org/plants/sear...

@jmorth might know which one we should move it to.

I'm sure you're right - with my early morning eyes I had wondered if it was an improved version of something like Hemerocallis 'King Alfred' (presumably named for the daffodil), and that some misfortune had befallen the stamens (which of course wouldn't be all together in the middle in a double daylily anyway!).

Sue, in the future, to post a comment on a specific photo, enlarge it, scroll down and then start a thread conversation. It will then post to the Plant Photos forum and notify the photo owner that there is a thread for them. You posted a comment to the database entry itself which is for comments about the plant and may never be seen by anyone unless they happen to open that entry or they came across it in the new comments section. (I removed it by the way)

The photo owner hasn't posted in 4 months so may not be active on here to see this.

Daff in initial pic looks like a division 11 one called Tripartite...

Oooops! I picked the wrong Blazing Scarlet in the database. The picture is of a Blazing Scarlet Daffodil. I'm sorry and have no idea how to fix it. Is that something you can do for me? Thank you! Ann

There is a Narcissus named Split Cupped Collar Daffodil (Narcissus 'Blazing Starlet') but I don't find one called Blazing "Scarlet". Could there be an error in spelling?

Blazing Starlet is yellow with a red rimmed cup (11a Div.). There's no red in the submission pic.

The Daffodil bulbs were labeled Blazing Scarlet.
'Blazing Starlet' _ 'Blazing Starlet' is a clump-forming, bulbous perennial with erect, strap-like, grey-green leaves and, in mid-spring, sturdy, upright stems bearing single, yellow flowers with frilled, orange-flushed, pale yellow cups.

Today's picture from our garden shows an slightly orange flushed edge. Perhaps it gets darker with age. Yesterday the Daff was newly opened. I will look again tomorrow.

I grew Blazing Starlet and it did have a (barely) discernible orange edge. It looked like Ann's photo, particularly with the amount of ruffles. You can see the orange in Ann's photo, especially along the lower edge. It was a disappointment of course. I believe the photos used to sell these are either enhanced or vary with growing conditions.

It didn't matter much anyway because mine showed signs of virus (color breaking) so I chucked them quickly.

As @jmorth stated, 'Blazing Starlet' is yellow with a red rimmed cup: http://daffseek.org/detail-pag... These do not appear to have the red rimmed cup:

Perhaps they were mislabeled? As jmorth stated, they do look more like Split-Cupped Collar Daffodil (Narcissus 'Tripartite')

Tripartite does not appear as heavily ruffled as Blazing Starlet. Compare the ruffling..

It is 88 degrees here in OK and the Daffodils are melting.
Here is today's version of my Daffodil.
