I don't remember seeing this pond plant before now. Maybe ducks brought it?

I'm leaning towards Ludwigia peploides, young plants make a rosette like my pictures. It looks like it can get to be a big nuisance in a small pond.

The plants I've seen around here look like your picture. I've never noticed any with the deeper green, tidier look from the link.

I've been hunting since yesterday and found a very similar photo to your plant. Looks like your identification is correct.

Excellent! Greene, thank you for finding that link!! Thumbs up Thumbs up

Porkpal, do you see any flowers on your plants in the summer = July, August? I'm thinking the color might be related to the cool weather. I've noticed various plants that leaf out early will have a purple hue but they turn green when the weather warms up. Do your plants stay the same colors or do you control the plants from growing?

The cows eat most of them so they don't get out of control. I do, however, think mine produce some sort of white? bloom on occasion. I'll have to pay more attention.

Thought I would add these photos of the leaves as they look now that the temps are warming up.
