Can you help id this plant? Never know what it is so can't manage it. It's the woody one in the pic

Hi Tim, once it blooms it will be easier to ID, also a general ID where the shrub is located (city/state) would help. Welcome!

Thanks for looking. It's in north wales. The image looks blurry but if you click it is shows some better detail. It doesn't really bloom. It has tiny pinky purpley flowers almost Heather like. It stands .maybe 10ft tall when upright. It's very woody and main stem is over an inch thick.

Looks a bit like one of those woody seaside plants to me, Beach Plum or Bayberry
