I have this plant that I have no idea what it is. I use to work at a liquor store about 10 years ago and I saved it from dieing there. I'm figuring it needs to be repotted again but I don't know/remember what kind of plant it is so I can look up information on it.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome, Beth. Your wonderful plant is an Anthurium. It's a tropical plant I used to grow when I lived in the Marshall Islands. It's seen a lot in Hawaii. Yours looks very happy! Do you have high humidity where you have it located? They love water, and will even grow in the edge of a pond or even a dish of water.

It is currently housed on a partial wall between my living room and kitchen. There is a window on one side and sliding glass door on the other side. I try to water it every 2 weeks. I would assume that our house isn't very high in humidity. Thank you so much for letting me know what it is. Now to see if its time to repot it or to leave it be.

Can I also ask, are there other species related to it that look very similar. I have one that almost looks identical but the flowers are much smaller and the "trunk" of it is different than the one from Hawaii.

It seems to love your lighting and your care. I would have thought it needed more water, but it's happy, so don't change anything! Here is our anthurium database. See if your other plant is in it.
