thank you in advance for your help with this.

This year, for one reason or another, our garden has been invaded by this weed \ plant. I haven't a clue what it is. It's very fast growing, hollow stem, fleshy, celery-like with a strong deep root. Looks like it's about to flower.

Does anybody have any idea what it is please and how would you deal with it?
