Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

It will be awhile for us. More snow yesterday, though not as much as predicted.

Mostly all of mine are up. The first were the end of season purchases that I just turned pots on their sides and covered with leaves came up in March.

The majority of mine are up, and some are unfurling already. I hope there's no more freezing temps, since there's too many to try to cover. I still have a lot of winter ground cover to remove and two more beds to fertilize. It does feel good to be outside!

Ground cover is leaf mulch in my garden it stays. So that is one job I never do.

I did sprinkle the coffee grinds a month ago. A lot of people said it did not work for them but it has been golden slug killer for me. I traveled a lot and do not drink coffee so I have a lot of coffee and the top shelf good stuff. I was told the Puerto Rico coffee is so strong it will grow hair on your knuckles. Rolling on the floor laughing

None up here yet and I hope I don't see them for a few more weeks. Still rather chilly. But the crocuses are starting to bloom and I'm seeing a few tulips showing as well. Hurray!

Looks like some of my Hostas. I even had one that had opened and they just chewed the stem and left the leaf on the ground. Sad

I really should give up growing hostas because I have so many critters that love them.

First one I can see is good old 'Undulata Albomarginata' but I've got thousands of tulips where many of my hostas are; so I don't really look until later. It's really a bit early here in Ottawa.

Raining hard. They very first ones sort of opened yesterday. If tomorrow is a nicer day, there might be some. I've also got some fat yellow buds on one bunch of daffodils.
