I was running a errand yesterday an to my shock as I was passing by a Dinner the large Plumeria that is growing out front was in full leaf and full flowering. Is there a Plumeria that holds its leaves thru the winter? My plants are now just beginning to show leaves.

Good find! Some do seem to be more "hardy" than others, but it mainly depends on location, protection from north wind, sun exposure, humidity, etc. Also, some varieties just seem to bounce back/wake up faster in the spring.

I have a NOID yellow/orange tree I purchased in Corpus Christi @JamesAcclaims that slooooowly loses it's leaves. By the time spring arrives it will still have several leaves. It stops growing in the winter but the old leaves just hang on. BTW there are 2 inflos on that tree.

I have several plumeria that are fully awake and blooming, and many that are still completely dormant. The different cultivars will have different wake up times. Also, if it's growing near a wall, or a light, this could trigger it to wake up earlier. I assume you took a picture...? Whistling

Sorry Hetty no photo to share. It is growing on a south facing wall with parking lot and road around the landscaped area. I will try to get a photo this week when I am over that way.

When we visited Florida in late February, I saw a lot of leafed out and blooming plumerias. I also saw a lot with no leaves or flowers. It must just depend on the species and how hardy they are.
