No wait ... I know that plant, not Freesia but one I've never been able to keep alive for long. Let me try to remember the name. Green Grin!

Arlene, I've submitted a proposal to move the thread over to the Plant Identification Forum and once it's moved you will see something at the bottom of the page where you can mark it as identified!

I would think so. It is a bulb, so good drainage, less water in winter, and protect from freezes with leaves or cover.

a bulb? I've never noticed a bulb- only those fat roots that can pop out the top. I grow it potted, for indoor protection in winter, up here.
Wow, who knew?

I stand corrected! It is not a bulb, but is treated like one. Whistling

funny, I thought I was corrected! Green Grin! The bulb society talks about this plant, there is not a big bulb like amaryllis, but there are fat roots that may qualify as rhizomes Shrug!

From what I've read, Clivia grow from Rhizomes; but they look different from the rhizomes of some other plants; they do grow fat roots!
