I purchased an in door plant and I have been caring for it for over a year; however, I do not know the name/type of the plant. I have uploaded some pictures and I would appreciate any help in getting it identified.

Your plant reminds me of Codiaeum but I'm not certain. I've submitted a proposal to move this page over to the Plant Identification Forum so others can offer suggestions. You are right on Lin with Croton. Looks very much like 'Sunny Star' A very popular one sold by 'Angel Plants'. Strong light (sun) conditions will bring out more strong yellow color in the leaf.
