I purchased an in door plant and I have been caring for it for over a year; however, I do not know the name/type of the plant. I have uploaded some pictures and I would appreciate any help in getting it identified.

Hi rawansharif, Welcome!

Your plant reminds me of Codiaeum but I'm not certain. I've submitted a proposal to move this page over to the Plant Identification Forum so others can offer suggestions. You will be notified each time someone responds. Meanwhile, my thought of Codiaeum is just a wild guess but here are a couple of photos for comparison:

You are right on Lin with Croton. Looks very much like 'Sunny Star' A very popular one sold by 'Angel Plants'. Strong light (sun) conditions will bring out more strong yellow color in the leaf.
