Must eat minnows, he's very fat. Thanks for recognizing the snake, porkpal. I do not want to be bit.

The small ones eat fish (that are not too fast to catch) and the bigger ones tend to go for frogs and salamanders.

We have thousands of slow moving bull frog tadpoles. Hope it eats them all. I don't like to hear them at night

So glad I could not id your snake. It is much larger than any snakes we have. I would have a stroke if I wandered up on that.

Okay fine, I hate rats. But if that was a Rattler, it's gone.

Of course there are instances where it is safer to humanely dispatch an animal who may pose a real and present danger to you or your loved ones.

But all too often the killing of snakes (and spiders) is done for reasons relating to fear, lack of education, or immaturity. It makes me sad.
