I bought this for my wife a while back and neither of us can remember the name of it? It has bloomed beautifully and sadly the flower will die and never grow back, but the plant will live on.

We have already transplanted 2 new sprouts and we just love this plant. It almost feels like plastic or a fake plant.

A bromeliad. Welcome!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Hi, Craymer! Welcome! Glad to see that you are enjoying your beautiful bromeliad. This is one of my favorite varieties. The flowers are definitely beautiful and I love the texture of the leaves.
