I'd like to give this a name so I can put it in My List. It's a very dainty double lavendar. @Springcolor, this is one I got from you and as I recall you didn't know the cultivar name, right? Any help is appreciated, I looked through the database using lavender as a search in the primulas but didn't find a match.

Julia, do you happen to know the pink one? If not I'll research and/or post to the ID forum. I don't have a photo yet but it's opening up so can get one. Thanks for the help.

On a related note, I tried searching the Primula database with the only parameter 'lavender' color and this one did not come up. Any idea why not? I have really poor luck with searching, usually I get no results with the suggestion that I be less or more specific (I forget which). Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

If you look at the entry, lavender is not the selected color checked off.

Sorry but we must agree to disagree Sue.

I always try to get choose accurate links... often with notes/interesting facts...or to illustrate a feature such as close up of flowers , buds, leaves etc. that your library of excellent pics do not include. See recent post about Salix.
It is to help other ..to save them doing more research..they just need to click on my links.
At times I try to impart extra information so that other might learn something they may not have already known.
I am not sure why you are so against this method.
Other forums I am on seem to find it helpful.

I believe this is a picture of the plant Deb is asking about. I bought these a Sunnyside maybe 10 years ago. I searched but so many new cultivars now.

Sue, is it OK to suggest adding lilac as an alternate color to the Quaker's Bonnet entry? I can see how some folks might think of that as pink, but it is a definite light lilac for me. I get buggered up with colors - what I think of as violet is often touted as blue. For me, a blue flower really needs to be BLUE and not a wannabe blue. Reds similarly confuse me - russet, red, pink can all be confusing.

Re the pink form, I think Sue Jervis looks like a better match than Pink Star - thanks for the photos, Julia. Zuzu's photo (in this database) is a bit deeper pink, but the pics on the Barnhaven site sure look like a match. Does that name ring a bell with you, Julia?

Both are sure nice spreaders, I've divied up both for friends and to spread around my garden.

I think I have really confused things. I have 2 different plants and I thought Deb also asked for its name. The lilac one is definitely 'Quaker's Bonnet'. The pink/peach one no idea of the name and Pink Star doesn't ring a bell either. Maybe I just read things wrong, pulling weeds in the much awaited sun sun.

Is it possible to have more than one color show? Some folks might think of this as pink, others as lavender, still others as lilac. It seems color is a bit discretionary.
