If I don't know the location its shipping to yet, only the weight of the plant, how can I figure out an estimate?

I want to sell plants and give people a price ahead of time what I charge.

I typically use USPS.com, but must at least get the zip code of destination, use flat rates to get a ball park estimate. I also do comparison costing with fedex using their one rate shipping rates, sometimes it comes out cheaper.

Just ask your possible customers first of their zip code, and say it is estimated cost only. Some shippers add some reasonable handling cost, apart from the shipping cost.
