Hello,
I was gifted with this plant last year and the lady that gave it to me cannot remember the name. It is a perennial that came back well in my zone 6 garden. Thanks for any help!

Yes, it is. Am I seeing the reflection of sunshine? Or is it variegated?

Are the leaves edged in white?

Are the stems angled or cylindrical?
If angled then it is probably.....Polygonatum odoratum var. pluriflorum 'Variegatum',...commonly called Solomons seal.
