So next month I turn 50 yrs young. My wife asked if I would like to have a party.

(I felt like Pooh bear tapping his head with his paw) I thought and thought and finally said yes.....but it will have to be a dirty birthday party.

To say the least she sat there looking at me as if I had lost it (did I ever have it? - who knows)

I told her, yes that is what I said, A Dirty Birthday Party. We have been at our new home for 8 months and already have a nice garden going.

We will provide the main meal but the quest have to come early so they can go through the garden, bring their veggies and/or herbs in and search for some good ideas for side dishes.

Any gifts should be in the form of gift cards (Tractor Supply, Lowes, Home Depot) or yard tools.

Also I will be purchasing a blow up water slide for our little guest to get dirty - or clean I guess.

Can't wait!

I really think that we only have one family that we know that have ever gardened so I thought it would be cool to really show other people what you can do if you have a small or large place. I also think that if the kids enjoy running out searching for something out of the garden, that it will stick in their growing little minds.

One of my best friends hates veggies Confused but I am going to make him go out and gather also !!! He does assist his wife with their roses so I won't be to harsh on him.
