Please could you identify these seeds. They leave a lovely smell in the air at this time of the year. They are just over 1 cm long.

Can you break one open and show us the inside? Can you tell us where in the world this plant is growing? Are you finding them under another plant? If so, what is the plant?

My first thought is that they are the undeveloped buds of another plant.
