Awww Thanks Lin! I love taking pics of the all the plants, and keep tinkering away with the page. I wish I had set it up a little differently now, and FB sure doesn't make it easy to change w/o loosing all that's on the page.

How nice, I have visited that nice little garden in the country a few years back Thumbs up . Nice to see all these beautiful hoyas too. I'll visit the Facebook page, hoyas aren't always easy to get a good photo of, I get in some really awkward positions trying to photograph them *Blush*

I have looked at Hoya obovata Picta many times. I am so cautious with new plants I have no experience with, and have never even laid eyes on, except in pictures. Seeing Shooting Star in person, would be like running into Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp. Ok, that is a bit of an exaggeration, I would not try to feel Brad or Johnny, either, for firmness and suppleness, I don't think?

I don't mind struggling with a plants cultural needs. I live in the Pacific Northwest, I am use to that. But oh the agony, if I lose it, and then having to tell MJ I killed it, oh the humility. Sighing! Posting pics, it is just not the same for me, as it is for those in climates more suited to Tropicals. With night temp lows under 55% all year ALL YEAR LONG, and 129 days that do not have clouds a year, pictures of my plants not really bragging material. Sticking tongue out

I have gone to your page on facebook many times now, @mjsponies Your talent with your camera is at least as impressive as your green thumb. I should have gone long ago. Here is a link for all to use to see for themselves. https://www.facebook.com/Littl..., just in case any of you have not.

I put in a message this morning, to you MJ; with no time line in mind. I would like to purchase a plant from you I can root in the summer season, as experience has shown me it is so much easier and so much more fun to see results early. My favorite and glowingly healthy little Carnosa, took 9 months just to root, in a covered terrarium under lights. New growth did not come at all until it went under REAL grow lights and my so called summer sauntered on in. I am open to your suggestions for the best choice for blooms, and appreciate your taking me on. You may be sorry Rolling on the floor laughing Thanks for all the beautiful pics guys. So lovely.

My Hoya kerrii variegata is finally recovering woohoo! No blooms yet, but for awhile I thought I will lose the plant because the leaves are getting so wrinkly and dull.

In May 2017 so sad looking leaves, I have brought it out in its usual spot when Spring temps are warming up,but it was taking time to perk up:

Heat wave came this June, just been watering it early in the morning, spritzing the vine, fingers crossed..

This July, heat wave is over, overnights at 58F to 61F and daytime highs in low to mid 90F's, saw marked improvement on the leaves! Yey! It is getting back to its usual form, wrinkly leaves seems to have been pressed away! Variegation is more yellow than white now, whew...so glad, now will just see if it can try some blooms, existing peduncles intact, so my hope continues!

This time not a bloom photo for my Hoya shooting star, but a photo of a new pair of leaves forming at the end tip. My hoya is quite slow to form them, and when it does, I feel like getting rewarded Big Grin

Isn't that Hoya lockii something ! Blooms early and often. My momma plant is all budded up again too, which is good cause they can be slow growing. Which is alright also, as they won't outgrow their spot too fast. I'll post some pics soon as I get them off the camera !

Lin yes it is. Actually I might not have noticed it but I was walking thru the shade house and kept smelling "something" so went in search of. Found it blooming. I had seen it budding up but then it got off the radar some as it was on the back of the bench.

I have bought the Hoya ' hanhiae' yellow cutting and it came with peduncles. The peduncle growing and showing small buds but then I didn't leave it alone and keep moving it around and broke the bud.

I learn my lesson.

It's okay, mj!

I cut up the cutting and made it three. One cutting died but the other two is doing okay and is growing a peduncle. I will not move it.
