Sadly, my original asparagus bed died out after 25 years. I'll have to dig it out completely and start fresh. And that won't be easy. I helped a friend dig out his old one some years ago and it was like digging through remesh wire! I'm thinking of using an old dull chainsaw blade to cut it up in chunks (one last use of the blade before disposal).
